Join Team Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter at the world’s biggest and best half-marathon, starting in the city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, taking you across the iconic Tyne Bridge through Gateshead, to the stunning coastline in South Shields.
You can either join our team by registering for one of our charity places or with your own place through the Great North Run ballot or membership.
We ask that you raise a minimum of £275 through fundraising and sponsorship. Our registration fee is £55.

Finding loving new homes for animals across the North East
Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter helps animals that are lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned.
Our objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals. We reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted.
