About us
Who we are
Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter was established in 1896 and helps animals that are lost, unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned. Our objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals.
We reunite lost animals with their owners and find loving new homes for those no longer wanted. We cover the whole of the North East from our shelter at Benton North Farm in Newcastle.

Our Mission
Our mission statement is to ‘save lives across the North East’.
We promote kindness and the prevention of cruelty to animals. We rehome and reunite dogs and cats with new loving homes every year, so our aim is to continue to be able to help save lives and helping animals that need care. However, to do this we require kind donations and fundraising from the general public and local businesses.
