A Night to Remember – Burns Night 2025

On Saturday 25 January 2025, we gathered at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead for our annual Burns Night, and what a night it was! With laughter, music, and plenty of fundraising fun, it was an evening filled with generosity and celebration—all in support of the animals who need us most.

Guests were treated to a fantastic programme of entertainment, including an exciting raffle, auction, silent whisky auction, and crowd-favourite games like Chuck-A-Grouse and Heads or Tails. The ceilidh band, The Shipsters, kept spirits high, while a delicious three-course meal—complete with traditional haggis, neeps, and tatties—set the perfect tone for the evening.

A highlight of the night was our Ode to the Haggis, accompanied by the stirring sounds of piper Iain Slater and a heartfelt reading by Iain Love—a truly fitting tribute to the spirit of Burns Night.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised an outstanding £23,679.39! Every penny goes directly towards providing food, shelter, and medical care for the animals who rely on us. With no Government funding and annual running costs of £1.4 million, events like this make a lifesaving difference.
