When Taco first arrived at Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter, he was just a tiny kitten facing an uphill battle. Rescued alongside his siblings, all struggling with severe cat flu, Taco had an additional challenge to overcome. One of his eyes was severely infected, and after a thorough vet assessment, the difficult decision was made to remove it to save him from further pain.

Despite his rocky start, Taco’s spirit shone through. Under the watchful care of our team, he grew stronger day by day, proving himself to be a resilient little warrior. Taco’s playful personality began to emerge during his recovery, and it became clear that his missing eye would never hold him back.
