Valentina's Journey
When Valentina first came to us, she was pregnant and understandably in need of a safe, quiet space. She gave birth not long after arriving, and while heartbreakingly two of her kittens didn’t make it, the rest of the litter were healthy and went on to find loving homes of their own. Valentina proved to be a gentle and devoted mother, nurturing her kittens until they were ready to venture out into the world.
During her time at the shelter, Valentina was a gentle and affectionate presence. Despite the challenges she’d faced, she always welcomed attention from our animal care staff—nuzzling into hands, purring contentedly, and often seeking out a quiet lap for a cuddle. Her calm and loving nature quickly made her a favourite among the team, and it was clear she had so much love to give once she found a home of her own.
Valentina’s forever home
Once her kittens had been weaned and rehomed, it was Valentina’s turn to find a family of her own. In March 2025, that special someone came along and it’s been a perfect match ever since.
Her new family tell us that Valentina is settling in wonderfully. She’s relaxed and content in her new surroundings, enjoys curling up for naps, and has already become a much-loved companion.
Seeing Valentina flourish in her forever home after all she’s been through has brought a great deal of joy to our team. We’re so pleased to see her with a family who have given her the love and care that she deserves.
